By accessing and using Captions Ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Captions Ai provides web-based tools for automated video transcription, caption styling, and video rendering. The Service utilizes local processing architecture, meaning the heavy computational tasks (AI inference, rendering) occur on your device's hardware through the web browser.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password.
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free Launch Access

Captions Ai is currently free to use during launch. No paid subscription or payment card is required.

• There are no paid purchases during the free launch.
• Browser compatibility, storage and device processing limits still apply.
• Any future paid offering will be announced separately before introduction.

5. User Content

AI captions, translations and Roman spelling may contain errors. Review text and timing before publishing; model availability does not guarantee accuracy for every language or accent. Captions Ai is an independent service and is not affiliated with captions.ai. "User Content" refers to the videos, audio, text, and data you process using our Service.

• You retain all ownership rights to your User Content.
• Because processing is done locally, we do not have access to, host, or store your User Content.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions for the content you process.
• You agree not to use the Service to process unlawful, defamatory, or highly restricted content.

6. Limitations of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Captions Ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service. We are not responsible for data loss, hardware overheating, or system crashes resulting from the intensive local processing required by the Service.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
